Roll Molton Unoverlocked B1 – Cut Roll Material for Stage, Events and Exhibitions
Unoverlocked roll molton is a cost-effective solution for stage draping, skirting, coverings or temporary decorations in event and production environments. The fabric is supplied on a roll and cut lengthwise – without additional edge overlocking.
This molton is certified as flame-retardant (see Technical Details for applicable standards), making it suitable for professional use at events, in theatres, at trade shows or in scenic construction.
It is particularly well-suited for short-term use or applications where further processing (e.g. hemming, sewing or stapling) is planned.

Alternatives for Similar Applications
Stage molton is a very cost-effective mass-produced fabric, manufactured with wider tolerances than, for example, velvets.
Colour variations and differences in optical density between individual pieces are therefore due to the production process and do not represent a reduction in value.
Stage molton is not recommended where high standards are required in terms of durability, colour fastness or similar quality characteristics.
Please note that roll molton is produced with a dimensional tolerance of ±10 mm, and the width will not be more than 20 mm narrower than the nominal width. Roll molton marked as “uncut, edges only cut” may begin to fray or lose threads at the edges even under light mechanical stress.

Unless expressly noted otherwise, cotton fabrics marked flame retardant (hardly flammable) are treated with a semi-permanent flame retardant. This means that as long as the material is not soaked or washed, the flame retardant characteristics will persist. Therefore, soaking or washing will cause the loss of fire retardant characteristics. Flame retardant characteristics can be maintained through professional dry cleaning without stain removing agents and a low proportion of water. It is mandatory to carry out tests after dry cleaning.
