ECOGARD® B45 flame retardant reliably prevents the ignition of stage props, stage sets and decorations made of straw, even entire straw bales, by ignition sources such as flames from lighters, candles, glowing objects, electric beams, hot light lamps, sparks, gas burners and the like.
ECOGARD® B45 flame retardant concentrate makes even reeds flame retardant.

ECOGARD B45 flame retardant for straw or reeds is suitable for these applications:
- Decorations
- Props
- Stage sets
- Interior decoration
How to use ECOGARD® B45 flame retardant:
- Straw: spray or dip
- Reeds: use ECOGARD B45 concentrate in a dip process.
Please note that:
- ECOGARD B45 flame retardant works more effectively the better it is absorbed by the straw or reeds.
- Reeds are completely immersed and left in ECOGARD B45 for at least 60 minutes.
- ECOGARD® flame retardants are water-based products. Use water to test if the object you want to protect can be treated with the flame retardant. Any visible changes to your object after treatment with pure water will also occur when using the flame retardant.
- We cannot make any statements as to the permanence of paints or varnishes on surfaces that have been treated with flame retardant.
- We cannot say what effect paints or varnishes have on the fire retardant effect previously achieved.
- Always test thoroughly!
- Always pay attention to the warnings and application instructions for the respective product!
