Bühnenmolton ECO is the most affordable version among stage molton fabrics with a weight of 300 g/m² and is ideal for events with a limited budget. Its 300 cm width allows efficient use for large-scale applications – e.g. as a stage backdrop, room divider, or covering material.
Unlike Bühnenmolton CO, which consists of 100% cotton or contains recycled fibers, the ECO type uses a blend of approx. 80% cotton and 20% polyester. This composition increases durability and handling while maintaining economic efficiency.
The fabric is flame-retardant according to DIN 4102-B1 (valid in Germany) and sufficiently certified for many stage, event, and exhibition applications.
The matte, light-absorbing surface reliably prevents glare and reflections – an essential feature for equipping stages, studios, and trade show booths.

Stage molton ECO is a very cost-effective mass-produced product manufactured with wider tolerances.
Color deviations, variations in optical density between individual pieces and yarn distortion are production-related and do not constitute a quality defect.
The use of stage molton is not recommended if high demands are placed on durability, lightfastness or similar quality criteria.

Unless expressly noted otherwise, cotton fabrics marked flame retardant (hardly flammable) are treated with a semi-permanent flame retardant. This means that as long as the material is not soaked or washed, the flame retardant characteristics will persist. Therefore, soaking or washing will cause the loss of fire retardant characteristics. Flame retardant characteristics can be maintained through professional dry cleaning without stain removing agents and a low proportion of water. It is mandatory to carry out tests after dry cleaning.
