TopKAT BASIC Direct Control Chain Hoist Controller, 12 Channels

The TopKAT BASIC Direct Control 12-Channel Chain Hoist Controller is a robust and cost-effective control solution for the professional operation of up to twelve DC chain hoists (Direct Control chain hoists). It is designed for users who require a clear, reliable, and easy-to-operate controller for daily use in live events, theatres, studios, exhibition venues, entertainment rigging, and stage production environments.

The complete system is housed in a durable black controller road case and is designed for mobile operation. Four heavy-duty swivel castors, two of which are fitted with brakes, ensure easy transportation and positioning on site. In addition, four recessed carrying handles provide convenient handling during loading and unloading. All hardware, handles, and metal components feature a black powder-coated finish.

Operation is carried out via twelve individually selectable channels. Each chain hoist is assigned its own selector switch with Up, 0 (Neutral), and Down positions. Selected chain hoists can then be moved simultaneously using the central travel push button. An emergency stop, main power switch, and power status indicators provide a clear and intuitive operating concept.

To protect the control elements, the front panel is fitted with a removable cover. An integrated service access flap allows access to the selector switches without removing the entire lid. This keeps the operating elements protected even during operation.

The chain hoist connections are located on the rear of the controller. Four DC chain hoists can be connected directly via integrated 4-pin CEE chain hoist outlets. For the remaining eight channels, two multipin connectors are provided. These are distributed via breakout fan-out cables to four additional 4-pin CEE chain hoist connectors each (4 × 1.5 mm²). This allows up to twelve DC chain hoists to be connected in a practical and clearly organised manner.

An integrated storage compartment for the breakout fan-out cables is located beneath the connection panel. This allows the controller and connection accessories to be transported and stored together, reducing setup time and supporting efficient cable management.

Power is supplied via a 5-pin CEE 32 A input at 400–415 V AC, 3-phase, 50–60 Hz. Phase correction can be carried out manually via the power connector. For electrical protection, the controller is equipped with circuit breakers, protecting groups of two chain hoists each. Maximum channel capacity is up to 20 kW per channel, while the overall available power is determined by the connected 32 A mains supply.
