STRETCH 3D – flame-retardant elastic fabric for 3D applications
STRETCH 3D elastic fabric is a high-quality, flame-retardant material made of 100% polyester, featuring a width of 310 cm and a weight of 210 g/m². The fabric stretches by approx. 30% in both lengthwise and crosswise directions, making it ideal for demanding three-dimensional applications.
Typical use cases include stretch covers for tables and chairs, tension sails, spatial cladding, event decorations, and other form-fitting textile solutions. Thanks to its consistent elasticity, the fabric adapts easily to various shapes and geometries.
To preserve the stretch properties after fabrication, processing with an elastic seam is required. TÜCHLER offers this seam technique as a service in its own sewing studio.

1. Washing properties of flame retardant materials
Trevira CS and Polyester FR fibre-based material can be washed according to the care label, without loss of fire retardant characteristics.
2. Loss of flame retardant characteristics due to care products
The use of fibre-affine care products such as fabric conditioners (e.g. Silan) can cause the loss of the material’s flame retardant characteristics!
3. Loss of flame retardant characteristics due to contamination
Soiling or applying foreign substances (e.g. painting/printing) to the fabric can cause the loss of the material’s flame retardant characteristics!
4. Regular inspection of flame retardant characteristics
Therefore, please make sure you ask an expert to regularly check the cloth’s flame retardant characteristics.
