KABUKLIP drops everything

KABUKLIP holds curtains, fabrics or foils without eyelets or other special edges, either through simple clamping or a positive locking connection.

Without the use of metal inserts such as eyelets, rings or hooks, Kabuki curtains fall lightly and naturally. This also prevents possible injury from any metal inserts when the curtain falls. The drop eyelets are used to drop heavy objects.

The KABUKLIP release unit always opens exactly when you want it too. The design of the clip makes jamming impossible.

A Kabuki system must:

  • Be quick and easy to install
  • Hold objects securely
  • Release reliably

KABUKLIP:The design makes a mechanical jamming impossible!

  • Side tension → OK!
  • Horizontal applications → OK!
  • Diagonal applications → OK!
  • Upside down applications → OK!

Mounting without eyelets and hooks

With KABUKLIP you can forget all about eyelets, hooks, Velcro and other fasteners for most curtain applications. The clamping force of the KABUKLIP release unit is so strong that depending on the material each clip has a carrying capacity of up to 15 kg. This means for example that a single unit can carry about 50 m2 of stage molleton.
Your benefits:

  • You save time and money because you do not need any extra fastening objects such as eyelets or the like
  • You do not need any extra fastening objects such as eyelets or the like
  • You do not have to position the release units exactly and thus avoid the time-consuming process of aligning them with the eyelets.
  • You can easily reposition the curtain to the side by slightly opening the clamp screw instead of having to re-align all of the release units.
  • You can stretch particularly lightweight fabrics from release unit to release unit making distances of up to 3 m possible. This means fewer release units are necessary.
  • Your curtain will fall naturally and beautifully because there are no rigid backing tapes or heavy eyelets to affect the fall behaviour.
  • There is no risk of injury from metal parts in the curtain.

Magnetic force

Magnetic force holds the clips securely closed and allows them to be released reliably. The load is securely held by magnetic force. Unlike standard systems, instead of a mechanical lock to prevent unintentional release, a backup battery is used, so that even in the case of a power failure, the clamp will remain securely closed. Thus you can be sure that at the crucial moment when the curtain is to fall nothing will jam and the release will always open reliably.

LED work lights

The standard integrated LEDs serve as a working light, so that even the typically dark environments of many venues, the load can be placed easily and accurately. The work light turns off at the push of a button or automatically as soon as the system "goes live".

M12 threading

The integrated M12 threading on the top and back for the attachment of commercially available half couplers or pipe hooks

Speakon connector

Speakon connector up to IP 54. Speakon connectors ensure the quick and secure connection of the KABUKLIP release unit. They are available as IP23 for the standard KABUKLIP or as IP54 for the splash proof open-air KABUKLIP-OA. High quality, environmentally friendly, halogen-free, oil braided cables are used.

Integrated 3 mm steel safety

All KABUKLIP release units are standardly equipped with a steel safety with a captive chain link integrated in their housing.

Clamping screw

The clamping screw is used to set the clamping force for the specific material with a thickness from 0 to 13 mm.

Positive locking clamp

For special loads, KABUKLIP offers the unique opportunity to not only hold the load with clamping force, but also in a positive locking manner.

This allows you to increase the carrying capacity of the KABUKLIP release unit up to 25 kg per unit.

Your benefits:

  • Secure clamping of heavy materials also in windy outdoor applications since it is impossible to release the clamp unintentionally.
  • Use of the release eyelets for fastening individual loads (please read the safety information in the manual!).

The values in the table below are reference values for various materials. The values given are for "pure clamping" and may vary due to differences in the materials and application. The clips should therefore be tested with the material to be released before being used. The maximum carrying capacity of a clamp in the positive locking position (e.g. for use with piping or release eyelets) of 25 kg must not be exceeded. All the values given are for a single KabuKlip release unit.
